A surface-mounted light fixture is secured to ceiling material with two-inch-long number twelve self-drilling screws at four typical locations in each corner, complying with ICC ESR-1976. The ceiling suspension system features main runners and cross furring, with hat channels providing required bracing. Main runners are saddle tied to the cross furring using eighteen-gauge, two-strand tie wire.
