A rigid galvanized steel conduit sleeve is cast in place within a concrete floor slab to accommodate a vertical raceway. A pipe clamp rests on top of the concrete floor where vertical support of the raceway is required. The annular space around the raceway features a half-inch clearance all around, packed with two-thousand degree Fahrenheit rated ceramic wool and sealed at the top with a three-quarter inch deep gun-applied sealant.
