Electrical conduit stub-ups transition from rigid PVC conduit in direct burial or a duct bank through a concrete floor slab or wall to a PVC-coated rigid steel conduit stub. A long-radius elbow connects the horizontal underground run to the vertical penetration. Sleeves with watertight conduit seals or link seals are provided at all slab and wall penetrations. The steel conduit extends a minimum of six inches above the top of the concrete floor slab or housekeeping pad. Compacted stable bedding is placed beneath and around all direct-buried conduits and duct banks.
