A direct bury raceway in landscape areas is installed in a trench excavated to a depth as required to avoid existing utilities and meet code requirements, with the slope determined by the contractor. Conduit is laid over a minimum bedding material, topped with compacted backfill to ninety-five percent density. A marker tape with a minimum width of three inches is laid along the entire length twelve inches above the raceway. The top surface is finished with four inches of topsoil and landscaped to match existing conditions.
