Power raceways and conduits are bedded in sand over a compacted trench subgrade with a thirty-six inch minimum depth of bury below finished grade. Traceable marker tape is laid for the entire length at least three inches wide and twelve inches below the finished grade. Communication raceways are separated by a minimum of twelve inches horizontally from power conduits. The trench is filled with structural backfill compacted to ninety percent density, excluding any rocks over six inches in diameter.
