An underground electrical power ductbank is encased in a three-inch minimum layer of cast-in-place concrete that is dyed red for identification. The assembly houses a four-by-one configuration of conduits supported by plastic conduit spacers and secured with top spacers to prevent floating during the concrete pour. Continuous number four rebar runs longitudinally along the ductbank. The concrete encasement features a crowned top extending one inch above the sides of the duct. A red plastic warning tape is positioned twelve inches below grade directly above the concrete encasement. The entire assembly rests on a four-inch layer of Class A or Class C backfill.
