Light fixture labels incorporate an uppercase letter designation for the fixture type in a bubble above the symbol, a circuit designation such as EHN-4, and a lowercase letter designation for switching or zoning. Shading on the fixture symbol indicates an egress light fixture with an integral or remote battery pack. An unswitched hot lighting circuit must be run directly to the battery pack for exit signs and emergency egress fixtures.
