Electrical raceways ranging from three-quarters of an inch to six inches in diameter are supported from structural units using beam clamps or hanger clamps sized as required by the supported weight. All-thread rods with a three-eighths inch minimum size secure conduit hangers for suspended runs. Smaller raceways from three-quarters of an inch to one inch attach directly via beam clamps or hanger clamps. Wire is strictly prohibited from use as a component of any raceway hanger system. Raceways larger than one inch must not be supported from the bottom cord of steel trusses.
WIRE SHALL NOT BE USED AS A COMPONENT OF ANY RACEWAY HANGER SYSTEM. DO NOT SUPPORT ANY RACEWAY LARGER THAN 1" FROM BOTTOM CORD OF STEEL TRUSSES.
