The pad consists of minimum 5000 PSI reinforced concrete with a thickness of minimum four inches above grade and dimensions matching the equipment width and depth plus eight inches on each side. Reinforcement comprises number four rebar at twelve inches on center each way placed at both the top and bottom of the slab. Switch handles on installed switchboards and distribution boards must not exceed six feet seven inches from grade level to the center of the handle.
NOTES: WHEN INSTALLED ON PAD, SWITCHBOARDS AND DISTRIBUTION BOARDS SWITCH HANDLES SHALL NOT EXCEED 6'-7" FROM GRADE LEVEL TO CENTER OF SWITCH HANDLE. PROVIDE A PAD THICKNESS OF MIN 4" ABOVE GRADE.
