Two concrete-encased low voltage duct banks are positioned below finished grade with a minimum separation of 50 inches. Each duct bank measures 834 millimeters wide by 648 millimeters high and contains multiple 4-inch schedule 40 PVC conduits arranged in a grid with 190-millimeter typical spacing. A 4/0 AWG bare copper ground wire is embedded in each encasement and bonded to ground rods at each manhole, vault, or piece of equipment. Number 4 steel rebar runs parallel to the ducts under driveways and within 10 feet of foundations. Detectable warning tape is installed above the duct banks below finished grade. A general note specifies that the minimum bend radius for 4-inch conduit is 600 millimeters.
