A one-inch polyvinyl chloride pipe sleeve of required length is cast directly into the concrete pad or floor slab, surrounded below by a sand fill. The top of the sleeve features a one-inch projection finished with a waterproof sealing compound at the slab surface. A bolted ground connector attaches to the equipment base, ground bus, or neutral tap of a transformer, extending down through the assembly.
