A vertical sprinkler riser main connects to OS & Y valves equipped with tamper switches and a flow switch mounted directly to the pipe. Liquid tight flexible conduit with a maximum length of four feet routes wiring from the switches to wall mounted junction boxes containing monitor modules. Standard conduits extend from the junction boxes along the ceiling to alarms and other alarm devices. Flow and tamper switches are provided and installed by the sprinkler contractor while wiring is handled by the electrical contractor.
