A light fixture pole mounts onto a raised concrete base poured into a twenty-four-inch diameter earth hole that extends five feet deep. Four galvanized J-bolts embedded in the concrete secure the pole base, which is leveled and grouted after plumbing. Four number four vertical rebars with number four ties spaced at twelve inches on center reinforce the concrete foundation, supplemented by two number four ties in the top five inches of the footing. A PVC conduit feeder routes electrical service up through the center of the concrete base. The pole includes a handhole with a gasketed cover near the base and a one-quarter-inch ground stud on the back. The concrete requires a minimum compressive strength of 3000 pounds per square inch at twenty-eight days.
