Three ten-foot long, three-quarter-inch diameter copper-clad steel ground rods are driven into the earth and coupled to achieve the required depth. The rods are interconnected using exothermic connections, with a spacing of thirty feet between each rod. A ground rod inspection well with a cover labeled 'GROUND' is provided where the rod must be driven through hardscape. The conductor is routed to clear the foundation as required, with a twelve-inch clearance maintained between the rod and the foundation wall.
