Power is supplied to slot machines via a surface-mounted junction box located beneath the raised floor, housing all 120-volt circuits for the area. Flexible metal conduit, sized per National Fire Protection Association 70, routes power from this junction box through a grommeted hole in the raised floor panel. Within the base of the slot machine stands, a four-inch square box contains two duplex receptacles to serve the equipment. A maximum of three slot machines are fed by a single 120-volt, 20-ampere circuit, with two duplex receptacles provided for every three machines. A separate junction box is required for dedicated 120-volt, 20-ampere slot signage circuits at each bank of machines.
