The composite metal deck bears on a structural steel support with a minimum of two inches of bearing length. Deck panels meet in a butt joint that is tightly fitted or provided with a profile closure plate as required at deck high flutes only. Deck ribs remain unclosed per the installation notes. Overlapping roof deck joints require a minimum lap of two and one-half inches. Fastener spacing and attachment methods comply with the metal deck schedule.
