An aspirating smoke detector apparatus and its associated power supply are secured to the wall with a maximum mounting height of five feet. Rigid three-quarter-inch chlorinated polyvinyl chloride pipe connects to the inlet manifold, leaving a twenty-inch minimum straight run before any bends. Adapters and piping are left unglued directly into the inlet manifold. A Unistrut channel is mounted to the wall to support the vertical pipe runs.
