This assembly features a blunt tip air terminal mounted to a cast aluminum equipment base, which is secured to the exhaust fan housing using two stainless steel self-tapping screws with penetrations sealed by translucent silicone. Lightning protection conductors are routed across the fan housing and secured with aluminum cable loops at intervals not exceeding 36 inches on center. The conductors are joined using cast bronze parallel cable splicers. A bimetallic bonding plate is fastened to the base of the fan on both sides of the terminal using two stainless steel self-tapping screws to ensure electrical continuity.
