An underground electrical ductbank is encased in cast-in-place concrete dyed red and set upon a four-inch Class A or Class C backfill layer. A two-by-two arrangement of five-inch power and spare conduits is supported by plastic conduit spacers, with the top spacer secured to prevent floating during the concrete pour. Continuous number four rebar runs along the ductbank while maintaining minimum three-inch concrete cover dimensions and a crowned top profile. Red plastic warning tape is positioned twelve inches below grade directly above the encasement.
