This precast concrete pad installation standard specifies requirements for mounting a three-phase dead-front transformer up to 1000kVA with a minimum pad weight of 2,430 pounds. The assembly includes an 18-inch by 50-inch clear opening and two two-ton lifting anchors cast into the concrete. Conduit arrangements accommodate up to two runs of 4-inch primary conduits alongside various configurations of 3-inch, 4-inch, or 5-inch secondary conduits. Transformer cooling fins may overhang the rear of the pad by 6 inches, and all installations require precast pads rather than pour-in-place construction.
