A galvanized rigid steel conduit transitions from a hazardous location through a floor slab using a vertical explosion-proof sealing fitting and an external PVC-coated galvanized rigid steel elbow. The assembly includes external PVC-coated galvanized rigid steel couplings connected with a minimum clearance from the floor slab. The installation maintains separation between hazardous and non-hazardous areas, such as an aircraft hangar bay, with designated minimum vertical dimensions above and below the slab.
