The luminaire is supported independently of the ceiling system using number nine gauge steel suspension wires. A minimum of two support points are required at opposite corners, each secured with a minimum of three twists. The luminaire connects to the ceiling cross beam via the manufacturer's mounting hardware. Power is supplied to the fixture via a whip from a junction box, limited to a maximum length of six feet. The gypsum board ceiling is installed around the luminaire, which is specified per the electrical schedule.
