The assembly transitions from underground Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride conduit to rigid galvanized conduit using a polyvinyl chloride to galvanized adapter. The rigid galvanized conduit extends twelve inches above grade and is protected by a forty mil polyvinyl chloride coating. This coating must cover all conduit buried and twelve inches above grade, as taped conduit is not acceptable. The conduit is buried at a minimum depth of thirty inches below a six-inch layer of gravel fill.
