A reinforced concrete pier foundation for a site lighting pole is set at finish grade with a two-inch forty-five-degree chamfer at the top. The pier is reinforced with four number five vertical bars and number three ties spaced at two inches on center near the top and twelve inches on center below. Anchor bolts provided per the pole manufacturer secure the base over a three-quarter-inch non-shrink grout layer. A PVC conduit enters the pier at a minimum depth of two feet below finish grade. A four-by-six-inch gasketed handhole accesses in-line weatherproof fuse holders with fuses inside the pole base. A number six bare copper ground wire bonds the pole to a three-quarter-inch by eight-foot copper weld ground rod driven adjacent to the concrete pier.
