A sixteen-foot luminaire pole mounts to a cast-in-place concrete base anchored by embedded bolts and surrounded by a one-inch chamfered edge at finished grade. The twenty-four-inch diameter minimum and four-foot minimum depth concrete foundation is reinforced with four number-four vertical rebar and number-three ties at twelve inches on center with three inches of minimum cover. Branch circuit conductors run within one-and-one-quarter-inch conduit inside the concrete base. A number-six American Wire Gauge bare copper ground cable runs in one-inch conduit within the concrete base and bonds to the pole, anchor bolts, and equipment ground conductor via a bronze clamp ground connection to a five-eighths-inch diameter by eight-foot long copperweld ground rod set twelve inches below finished grade. A rated ten-inch round pull box with cover connects via one-inch conduit with a two-inch by one-and-one-quarter-inch reducer coupling. Voids between the top of the concrete base and the bottom of the transformer base are solidly grouted with non-shrink grout featuring a drainage channel, while a hand hole with cover utilizes tamper-resistant stainless steel hardware.
