An overhead door monitoring assembly connects a magnetic contact switch to a card access controller via a three-quarter-inch conduit and a twelve-by-twelve-inch junction box with access control interface equipment. One-inch conduit contains a twenty-two gauge two-conductor twisted pair shielded cable and an eighteen gauge two-conductor non-shielded cable routed to the controller. Cabling routed above accessible ceilings may be installed in cable trays or J-hooks. The electrical contractor coordinates the installation of the magnetic contact switch and conduit with the overhead door supplier.
