This detail establishes the vertical installation requirements for wall-mounted electrical and life safety devices measured from the floor line. Fire alarm pull stations are restricted to a maximum height of 48 inches above the floor to ensure accessibility. Fire alarm horn/strobe units must be mounted between a minimum of 80 inches and a maximum of 96 inches above the floor. Standard electrical receptacles are required to be installed at a minimum height of 16 inches above the floor line.
