This assembly utilizes an O-Z Electrical Manufacturing Type DX expansion coupling, or an approved equal, to accommodate movement in rigid steel conduit runs crossing a structural expansion joint. The coupling features a neoprene sleeve to protect the internal mechanism from debris and environmental exposure. An external bonding jumper must be installed across the coupling if the specific unit lacks an internal bonding jumper to maintain electrical continuity.
