A steel light pole with a maximum weight of three hundred forty pounds and a maximum height of thirty-one feet mounts to a manufacturer-specified base plate with four three-quarter-inch threaded rods. The base plate rests on a one-inch-plus non-shrink grout pad with a quarter-inch per foot slope all around terminating at finish grade or sitework. The concrete caisson measures one foot six inches minimum in diameter with a three-inch clear cover typically and features six number six vertical reinforcing bars equally spaced with number four closed ties at twelve inches on center unless noted otherwise. Three number four closed ties at one and a half inches on center occur at the top of the caisson beneath a three-quarter-inch chamfer all around. The threaded rods anchor into the caisson with quarter-by-three-inch square or quarter-by-four-inch plate washers typically.
