A copper air terminal is mounted atop a rooftop element and connected to a Class I lightning conductor. The bronze base is secured to concrete paver blocks using non-magnetic stainless steel anchor pins over a slip sheet. A dedicated down conductor runs from the terminal to the grounding conductor grid, keeping the equipment and building frames separate from the primary grounding path. Cable attachment methods must avoid roof membrane penetration while minimizing electrolysis between dissimilar metals.
