An electrical unit rests on a concrete pad with a minimum thickness of six inches, featuring number five reinforcing bars placed at sixteen inches on center each way at mid-height. The pad extends a minimum of four inches on all sides beyond the unit base. Anchors with specified embedment lengths secure the electrical unit into the concrete pad. A minimum three-inch clearance is maintained typically, set above the finished floor.
