A rigid galvanized conduit penetrates the roof assembly, secured rigidly to the building structure below. The penetration is sealed with a pipe boot incorporating roofing counter-flashings and a mastic seal, complemented by a storm collar and silicon sealant at the upper joint. The conduit extends downward into the building with a nylon pull string routing to the telephone board in the top level telecommunications room.
