The four-inch concrete base is anchored to the structural slab using one number four rebar at each corner of the base, providing a minimum of three inches of coverage from the edge and extending three inches into both the slab and the base. Approved anchor systems include Hilti HVA, Hilti, or Ramset Epcon. One-half-inch by four-inch epoxy anchors are installed at each of the four corners of the base as a typical condition.
