Electrical conduit spanning across a structural floor or roof expansion joint requires a dedicated expansion fitting with a bonding jumper to maintain electrical continuity and accommodate movement. The conduit is secured on either side of the joint by conduit clamps attached to structural members such as beams or joists. The installation uses a proper-sized O-Z/Gedney Type TX electrical metallic tubing conduit expansion fitting accompanied by a Type BJ grounding and bonding jumper.
