A parallel mounting arrangement secures an equipment rack to an overhead cable runway. The equipment rack measures seven feet high by nineteen inches wide by three inches deep, utilizing universal rack rails specified as CPI part number 46353-X03. The twelve-inch wide cable runway features rectangular steel tubing rails measuring three-eighths by one and one-half inches with a 0.065-inch wall thickness, designated as CPI part number 10250-112. Connection between the rack and runway is achieved using a dedicated runway mounting plate paired with brackets and assembly hardware, designated as gray CPI part number 10506-102. While a parallel configuration is used, some racks require perpendicular mounting while utilizing the same runway mounting plate.
