Metal deck support at steel columns consists of angle framing and channel reinforcement around penetrations. An L 3x2x1/4 angle connects the deck bearing condition at columns without beams framing four sides, secured with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A C6x8.2 channel is added at pipe penetrations when dimension X is less than or equal to three feet, with a maximum span of six feet. When dimension X exceeds three feet, opening details govern the required framing. Deck closures are provided at all perimeter and interior column conditions.
