An upstand assembly is mounted to a primary structural pipe per structural drawings. The connection consists of a three-eighths inch thick web plate welded radially to the pipe wall, topped with a flange plate oriented at a fifteen degree angle. Key dimensions locate the plates relative to the centerline and outer diameter of the supporting pipe. Primary structure pipe information must be verified against structural drawings.
