A round concrete base supports a light pole with galvanized anchor straps and bolts sized per manufacturer recommendations. Four number five epoxy-coated reinforcing rods run vertically, supplemented by number three epoxy-coated hoops at twelve inches on center around the anchor bolts, maintaining a one and one-half inch minimum concrete cover. Heavy-wall schedule forty PVC conduit enters the base at a size indicated on the plan. A number ten grounding conductor runs from the ground rod to the pole base, wired to a clamp on the ground rod. A half-inch felt expansion joint material separates the installation at the concrete area grade.
