Suspended equipment is restrained using a four-way splayed transverse and longitudinal rigid bracing assembly tied to overhead structures. A channel trapeze support consisting of single 1 5/8 inch by 1 5/8 inch by 12 gauge channels cradles the equipment from above and below, fastened with number 10 sheet metal screws spaced at a maximum of 12 inches on center. Threaded rods suspend the trapeze assembly while incorporating stiffening requirements for vertical load support. Splayed rigid brace channels extend outward from the equipment corners at a maximum angle of 45 degrees, with a tolerance of plus or minus 3.75 degrees, providing lateral seismic resistance.
