An existing freestanding switchboard is anchored to an existing five-inch minimum concrete floor slab using new three-inch by four-inch by quarter-inch by eight-inch steel angles. The steel angle is welded to the base of the switchboard and finished with paint matching the switchboard color. Two half-inch diameter by six-inch epoxy anchors secure each angle into the concrete slab. Approved anchor systems include Hilti HVA, Hilti HIT, or Ramset Epcon.
