An epoxy-coated ductile iron fire hydrant riser connects to nonmetallic piping protected by a cathodic protection system utilizing prepackaged magnesium anodes. Number 4 AWG HMWPE bond cables connect across pipe joints and to the piping via cable-to-pipe connections referenced to detail three on sheet CP-eight. A test station with a white number ten AWG THHN drain cable and white number ten AWG THHN test cable is installed at grade above a test station detail. Petrolatum tape coating systems wrap pipe joints and connections per note three. A prepackaged magnesium anode is positioned three feet maximum and two feet minimum from the piping with a three-foot separation.
