The filter is constructed of woven polypropylene with double-stitched seams and a minimum depth of three feet, offering a permeability of forty gallons per minute per square foot. Installation requires removing the drain grate, inserting the filter, and replacing the grate to hold the unit in position. The reusable or disposable filter must be removed for cleaning or replacement when filled to one-third capacity using a front-loader or other equipment.
