A structural steel chevron brace connects to the underside of a beam via a gusset plate welded to the beam flange and web. A vertical gusset stiffener is welded to both sides of the gusset plate aligned with the beam web. The brace members connect to the gusset plate using bolted connections. Additional weld sizes and lengths are specified per project notes.
