A typical precast concrete catch basin with a bicycle grate and D&L supply I-3517 frame, grate, and curb box is integrated into a standard curb and gutter system. The box features reinforced concrete walls with number four vertical and horizontal rebars spaced at ten inches on center typically, set on a prepared base with number four dowels spaced at twelve inches all around. A drainage pipe connects through the wall, cut smooth with the box wall and grouted with epoxy grout at all ledges and joints. The curb inlet transitions smoothly with return curbs and gutters on either side.
