A metallic pipe connects to an insulated anode wire using a brass grounding clamp secured by three hex head brass bolts, with the copper conductor insulation removed for electrical contact. An insulating union joins copper pipes using an all-brass body union and an insulating fitting to maintain electrical isolation. Wire insulation must be stripped at the grounding clamp to ensure electrical continuity, and all bolts must be brass with hex heads. All cables are identified per detail 4/CP-7, and insulation is removed prior to fastening cable with set screw.
