A six-inch concrete curb bears on a nine-inch wide by six-inch deep compacted aggregate base course. The curb features a six-inch height above the adjacent pavement section with a half-inch rounded top edge, while maintaining an eighteen-inch minimum overall height to the bottom of the curb. Reinforcement consists of two number four reinforcing bars placed equally spaced within the concrete profile. The exterior face transitions to finish grade in landscape areas one inch below the top of the curb, or flush with adjacent concrete pavement areas.
