A diagonal brace meets a column and beam framing intersection at a working point located at the center of the column and half of the actual beam depth. A gusset plate connects to a gusset support plate measuring one-half inch minimum typically, welded on three sides top and bottom with five-sixteenths fillet welds. A beam stub is provided with the detailer required to verify brace erectability. Additional stiffeners and bolt groups secure the framing members according to the indicated dimensions and notes.
