A twelve-inch corrugated metal pipe is bedded in a six-inch layer of non-shrink grout within an excavated trench in the in-situ material. The trench features one-to-one side slopes with twelve-inch minimum clearances on each side of the pipe. Dam embankment material covers the pipe with a one-inch minimum cover extending up to the top of the detention dam subgrade.
