A precast concrete wheel stop is anchored to finish grade with two three-quarter-inch diameter by twenty-inch long reinforcing bar anchoring pins. The six-inch high wheel stop is reinforced with two continuous number four rebars and features one-inch diameter holes for the pins installed one-half to one inch below the top surface. Six-foot overall lengths are specified with detailed dimensions for pin placements and base widths ranging from twelve to twelve and one-half inches. General notes require pre-approved units such as Fogtite bumper guards or Utility Vault bumper curb port styles and a typical two-foot clearance from adjacent walls, sidewalks, or curb faces.
