A canopy pole connects to a one-foot-three-inch by one-foot-three-inch by three-quarter-inch base plate anchored into a reinforced concrete pier by anchor bolts with embedded nuts. The pier is reinforced with number four hoops spaced at six inches and twelve total number five vertical bars with three inches of clear cover. A six-inch portland cement concrete slab over a six-inch class 2 base surrounds the base of the pole, finished flush with the top surface. A cross-section detail of the pier shows its circular reinforcement layout with a diameter dimension of two feet three inches.
